You’ll currently find me in Seattle’s Eastside, operating Curiouser Digital just a day a week as a hobby business while focusing on my family and our new home in the United States. I also run our Dandenong Ranges cottage as an airbnb vacation rental. My software-developer husband and I have three kids aged 8 to 14, a wild little crew of artists and gamers. We love to travel and enjoy interesting food!
I’m a quirky mix of creativity and organisation, with a passion for making things – making images, making stories, making costumes, making things better, making people happy, making plans. I have paint-splattered jeans, inky fingers, a camera nearby and a well-stamped passport for adventures abroad. I love Autumn, strong coffee, good wine and books, books, books, everywhere.
Professional photography and digital media
An evolving work / life identity
Over the years, I’ve grown from a self-taught creative to a professional photographer, recognised and awarded by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. Beginning with family portraits, I also photograph a limited number of weddings, and volunteer my photography services to the local primary school and pre school.
I’ve photographed fashion spreads and editorial photos for printed magazines, product images for website development and styled photos for promotional use. At times my photography skills and my graphic design work intersect, and I find it useful to be able to create the images needed to solve problems and fill gaps for my clients.
For more than a decade now I’ve developed my technical skills and expertise to include design, content writing and coding in order to solve problems and use my creative thinking in a practical way. From helping individual artists set up online profiles and create graphics for their etsy stores to fully implementing a deeply informative and visually appealing website for a dynamic small business, I love making life – and business – better for the people I work with.
